The Demand and Supply Planner is responsible for defining the monthly demand forecast, plays a crucial role as a conduit between Sales and market prospects and Operations. Along with the monthly forecasting process, the Demand and Supply Planner is responsible for the in-depth analysis of forecast accuracy performance to identify how to improve forecast accuracy. Exploring different forecasting methods/techniques, how to use the Demand Planning software more effectively and other aspects that will improve the accuracy of the forecast. The Demand and Supply Planner will be responsible for making tactical decisions to best balance supply and demand and if necessary, present decisions to the IBP Executive team for final approval. To be successful, they will need to work in a cross-functional team across Procurement, Formulation, Pricing, Finance, Sales and Production.
